When EverCheck or CE Broker, EverCheck's parent company, makes (typically infrequent) updates to its Domain Name System (DNS), most internet service providers recognize the change automatically, but some may have the old DNS cached.
If you're unable to connect to the sFTP, first try clearing your DNS cache:
For a Windows machine:
- Hold down the Windows key and press “R” to bring up the Run dialog box.
- Type ipconfig /flushdns then press “Enter” (be sure there is a space before the slash).
For an Apple machine:
- Click Applications.
- Click Utilities.
- Click Terminal.
- Run the following command:
sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder;sudo killall mDNSResponderHelper;sudo dscacheutil -flushcache
